The full story of the role SPMI plays in the National Day of Prayer in
South Texas is told on a companion web site
http://www.ndpsouthtexas.org.
William Lumry because the regional coordinator in 1998. In the years from
then to date the budget, activities, reach and area involvement has grown
proportionately with William's vision. It has reached the point where
William and his wife, Pat, need to add staff. Even so, this is not a plea
or a request. It's not even announcement or a job posting.
It is an invitation to those who hear the shofar call. The only way to
hear it is by the Holy Spirit and it is only heard by those who trust the
Lord of the Harvest to assign them their place in HIS work. Neither the
work of SPMI or its role with the National Day of Prayer originated with
William and Pat. In the routine of following the Holy Spirit daily they
found their calling and formed the organization around the functions of
the call. It was not and is not their work, it is still the Holy Spirit's
work.
So those he is adding to SPMI and NDP South Texas will both recognize it
and be recognized in return. That's the beauty of letting the Lord of the
harvest BE the Lord of the harvest. And it is the heart of the scriptures
in Hebrews 1025, " Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as
the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as
ye see the day approaching."
What remains then is to pray the Lord of the harvest that he will thrust
forth laborers into the harvest field which is already white unto
harvest. To make an introduction or an inquiry,
